Advent WNL @ JIPC Fellowship Hall (gymnasium)

Join us for special WNLs as we prepare for Advent & Christmas together as a church family! Our children are preparing for the pageant from 5-6pm even as we as start serving dinner at 5:30 for our early birds (& special project assistants). Then at 6:15, we have special projects for all ages. Be sure to sign up for dinners so we’ll be prepared!

Regular wnl prices apply: With reservations: $6/adults, $3/children under 18, $18 immediate family max. Without reservations: $8/adults, $4/children under 18, $24 immediate family max. And you can still bring your own ‘mug’ or cup, even though it’s not for coffee fellowship as we work to be faithful stewards of God’s earth! Just remember to take it home with you…

Women’s Bible Study

The Wednesday Women’s Bible Study group meets on Wednesday evenings at 6pm in the Christian Education Building, 2nd Floor. They start a new study on May 15, 2019:  Just Open the Door . The author, Jen Schmidt, has set out to reframe how we think about hospitality and to equip us to walk a road of welcome in our daily lives. Contact Teressa Gamble for more information.

The Sisterhood Circle used to meet the 2nd Monday of each month. They now meet the second Thursday evening of each month, taking turns hosting at members’ homes and leading. Contact the church office for specific details.

DESCRIPTION

The 4th annual School Spirit Run for Niger is a family friendly 5K run/walk through the beautiful James Island County Park trails. It is a morning of friendly competition between schools as well as a celebration of education in the lowcountry and in Niger, Africa. Participants are encouraged to wear t-shirts and memorabilia from their school of choice to emphasize unity despite dissimilarity. Proceeds from the event will go directly toward the construction of a school in Niger, Africa, one of the most impoverished nations in the world.

Parking is free for all walkers/runners.  Please tell the attendant at the gate you are with the Run for Niger.  Please park at the Stono Shelter or the Wando Shelter.
Please pick up your race bags at James Island Presbyterian Friday, 11/15/19 from 3:00 – 5:00

About the Remember Niger Coalition

Remember Niger Coalition is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to uniting people and mobilizing resources to expand quality educational opportunities in Niger, Africa. The organization is unique in that it partners with and supports Nigeriens who have a remarkable vision for their country. To date, the organization has helped its Nigerien partners construct, furnish, and support ten schools and two centers for special education in Niger. The Rally for Niger is the organization’s annual campaign in which groups all over the United States host fundraising events to raise money for a specific cause. The School Spirit Run for Niger is a part of the Rally for Niger. To learn more about Remember Niger, please visit the organization’s website at www.rememberniger.org.
