This is another piece of our program for nurture at James Island Presbyterian. Our Lord not only taught and cared for His people, He also spent many hours in fellowship at weddings and meals. We believe for the Body of Christ to be fully integrated, our members must know each other well. Fellowship events afford that opportunity.
On Sunday between worship services, we offer a Fellowship Coffee. Prior to Church School, members and children drop by Fellowship Hall for coffee & pastries. This is a time not only to eat, but also to enjoy one another’s company.
The second Sunday of most months we host a Congregational Luncheon. The Fellowship Committee provides an entree; the congregation brings vegetables, salads, breads, and desserts. The meal is held in Fellowship Hall, and all visitors that day are invited to be our guests.
Three annual events are our Easter Brunch, Church Picnic, and Shrimp Boil. These are open to the congregation and friends for a nominal charge.
In addition to these, the Fellowship Committee supports other events in conjunction with other committees. These include Fall Festival, Worship Renewal Weekend, Stewardship Event, and Christmas Party.
