Christ has set the church apart. We are called into being and derive our identity from worship. If we provide meaningful worship for our members, we believe the three other thrusts of our mission will follow.
Therefore, our week begins on Sunday with 8:30 and 11:00 AM worship. Both are traditional with scripture, sermon, prayer, offering, and music. We provide meaningful activities for all ages, but for the convenience of parents, we offer Children's Church for those not yet in school, as well as nurseries for infants and toddlers.
We closely follow the Christian calendar. High seasons are Lent, culminating on Easter, and Advent, ending on Christmas Eve. We offer communion twelve times a year as well as on Maundy Thursday.
We have excellent music. Our Chancel Choir sings each Sunday. Handbell and Youth Choirs participate regularly. We present special music at Easter and Christmas, including brass ensembles. The Youth Choir holds annual performances near Pentecost and again during Advent.
We have grown from a small congregation unable to support a pastor into a thriving community for over 500 souls. In the history of our church, it has experienced the trauma of war, hurricane, earthquake, and fire, but has continued to serve God and our fellow man as faithful Disciples of Christ.
